This weeks recordings include:
John Martel, author of the best selling "American Lawyer".
Ann Packer, author of the near and dear "My Bookstore"
Rick "Frosty" Hesson, author of "Making Mavericks" -a book based on the making of the film "Chasing Mavericks". The book also discusses the relationship between Frosty and his young protoge, Jay Moriarity.
Frosty is the real-life inspiration for Gerard Butler's character in the film...

Some of the events were test-streamed at Ustream. Go to: http://www.ustream.tv/user/SCMPS
The Archives will be placed on our new Vimeo Pro account -details to come...

We just wanted to wish our friends, Jerry and Thais, all the best. They are an amazing and striking father/daughter team from Santa Cruz, who have just entered to be casted in CBS' "The Amazing Race". Were keeping our fingers crossed! XX

shoot n surf
4/18/2012 5:43:18 PM
Jay here:)
So, the weather is starting to call us:) Spring Fever?!
Long, warm days ahead for the week.
Whisps of high-altitude clouds to diffuse the sun just a bit -great for pictures!
Going down to Pono Hawaiian Grille to shoot a mini-doc and commercial piece over the next few days...
But then what about the afternoons?? Going to have to surf I guess...;)
It's not going to be huge out, but the hot weather and mid-day high tides will be welcomed...
Aloha'z!
Soft release of site for testing
4/13/2012 5:38:00 PM
So we have soft released the site, for cross-browser and device bench-testing..
So far, it looks consistant between Internet Explorer (v.5x and v.8) Firefox 3.6.28 and Safari 5...
It seems that Safari 5 is the browser with the fastest page load...:)
IE v.5x had only minor glitches with font' background colors...
The site has been authored on a Mac through a Main Monitor with screen rez @ 1280 x1024.
The Mac and Windows PC machines also have reference monitors set to 1024x768 screen rez.
iPad 1 with Safari fares nicely too.
3G is slow at first, with DSL being decent across all platforms.
(Comcast cable high-speed not tested yet, but should be fat enought to load all pages fast.)
Sites with XGA and VGA resolutions clip the header a bit and you need to scroll to see the whole page.
That is unless you can zoom the page out some:)
So far, so good!

Friday, April 6th 2012 pre-site update
4/6/2012 8:24:58 PM
Today the Website is nearly complete -for all intenets and purposes.
Film and Video reels are coming soon, and those will be the icing on the cake..
It's cool to have a place locally that supports film and video in it's various formats..
-And of course, support for just about any type of production..
The Forum topics are going to be a lot of fun.
It'll be good to resource and connect with local filmmakers, photographers and other artists!
